HARRISBURG – Today, Judge Maureen Lally-Green received the endorsement from the Executive Board of the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police for Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
The state’s largest organization of law enforcement officers found that Lally-Green’s experience and reputation as a judge best reflected their organization’s goals and priorities.
“Maureen Lally-Green has the knowledge and leadership qualities we need in our justices sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court,” said PA State Lodge President, Mark Koch. “With our endorsement, voters can be assured that Judge Lally-Green’s qualifications have been fully vetted by law enforcement as someone we trust to serve with honesty and integrity as a Supreme Court justice.”
Prior to receiving the statewide endorsement, Judge Lally-Green was endorsed by the Pittsburgh Fraternal Order Police, Lodge #1.
“I am honored to receive the support of the PA Executive Board of the Fraternal Order of Police Pennsylvania State Lodge,” said Judge Lally-Green. “Their endorsement recognizes my commitment to the laws of Pennsylvania as a judge. The backing of the FOP shows that I am the candidate who has the credentials and knowledge to serve on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.”
The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) also gave Judge Lally-Green its highest recommendation for Justice of the Supreme Court. In its endorsements, the PBA Judicial Evaluation Committee cited her experience, integrity and commitment, saying that she would be an “outstanding addition” to the Supreme Court.
Judge Lally-Green has been serving Pennsylvanians on the state Superior Court justice since 1999. She also worked as a law professor at Duquesne University and has experience in corporate and private law.
Also active in supporting the community, Judge Lally-Green serves on the Intergovernmental Commission on Race and Gender Fairness; the Board of Trustees for the Auberle House, which serves dependent and delinquent children; the Board of Directors for the Ireland Institute; and the board of Directors for the Epilepsy Foundation.
