Harrisburg, PA- Judge Maureen Lally-Green, candidate for Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, received the endorsements of the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police and the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association at a press conference at the State Capitol yesterday.

“Maureen Lally-Green has the knowledge and leadership qualities we need in our justices sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court,” said Mark Koch, PA State Lodge President.  “With our endorsement, voters can be assured that Judge Lally-Green’s qualifications have been fully vetted by law enforcement as someone we trust to serve with honesty and integrity as a Supreme Court Justice.”

Representatives from the Pittsburgh Fraternal Order of Police, Pennsylvania State Lodge, Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico and Erie County District Attorney Brad Foulk were in attendance pledging their support for Judge Lally-Green.

“As a career prosecutor, it is extremely important to have a Supreme Court Judge that we can count on to make sure public safety and law enforcement is given top priority,” said Brad Foulk, Erie County District Attorney.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association also gave Judge Lally-Green its highest recommendation for Justice of the Supreme Court, citing her experience, integrity and commitment, saying that she would be an “outstanding addition” to the Supreme Court.

Bruce Edwards, President of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association added, “Judge Lally-Green has an understanding of the law and the Constitution that demonstrates her understanding of the proper role of the judiciary in our society.”

Judge Lally-Green has been serving on the Pennsylvania Superior Court since 1999.  She is also a Duquesne University law professor and has experience in corporate and private law.

“I am honored to receive the endorsements of the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police and the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association,” said Judge Maureen Lally-Green.  “Their endorsement recognizes my commitment to the laws of Pennsylvania as a Judge and demonstrates that I am the candidate who has the credentials and knowledge to serve on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.”

Also active in supporting the community, Judge Lally-Green serves on the Intergovernmental Commission on Race and Gender Fairness; the Board of Trustees for the Auberle House; the Board of Directors for the Ireland Institute; the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Foundation.
