PITTSBURGH: Former Congressman Pat Toomey endorsed Superior Court Judge
Maureen Lally-Green’s candidacy to become a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice
today.

“I enthusiastically endorse Maureen Lally-Green’s election to the Pennsylvania Supreme
Court,” said Toomey, “As a Superior Court Judge, Lally-Green has a proven track record
of fairness and a thoughtful approach to the law.”

“Lally-Green’s qualifications and credentials are second to none,” continued Toomey,
“With a competitive primary this May, it is critical that supporters of limited government
and conservative restraint support Lally-Green on Primary Day.”

“Lally-Green will strengthen the integrity of our highest court for all Pennsylvanians,”
said Toomey.

“I am fortunate to have the support of Pat Toomey,” said Lally-Green, “As a leading
conservative voice, I look forward to Pat’s help throughout the campaign.”

Maureen E. Lally-Green has served the citizens of Pennsylvania as Judge of the
Superior Court since 1998 when Governor Tom Ridge appointed her and the State
Senate confirmed her. In 1999, she was elected for a term of ten years. Judge Lally-
Green was rated “Highly Recommended” for Supreme Court, in 2003 and 2006, by
the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) and, in 2006, by the Allegheny County Bar
Association.
First elected in 1998 to the United States House of Representatives, Pat Toomey earned a
national reputation as one of Congress’ strongest supporters of tax relief, pro-growth
conservative fiscal policies and defender of traditional values. For his principled stand in
the United State House of Representatives, Forbes Magazine labeled him “Congressman
Courageous”, the National Review stated, “he is principled and right on the issues.”

Pat lives with his wife Kris and their two children, Bridget and Patrick in Zionsville, PA.
They attend St. Thomas More church in Allentown.
